Los Alamos-Japan Institute Holds Talk On Pearl Harbor

Los Alamos-Japan Institute (LAJI) is hosting a virtual discussion 5 p.m. Dec. 6 on Pearl Harbor.

The webinar, Pearl Harbor-Paper Crane-Peace Flame, will tell the evolving story of LAJI’s collaboration with the Pearl Harbor National Memorial and the family of Sadako Saski to commemorate the 80th anniversary this year of the Japanese attack on the U.S. fleet at Pearl Harbor.

Participants include LAJI Founder Dr. Judith Stauber, LAJI Chair Clifton Truman Daniel, Masahiro Sasaki of Sadako Legacy, Yuji Sasaki of Sadako Legacy and National Park Service’s Hanako Wakatsuki-Chong.

“Los Alamos-Japan Institute’s dedication to promoting diplomacy through dialogue. Dr. Judith Stauber and Clifton Truman Daniel’s approach will help create a more open, fair and inclusive world,” Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said.
