On Monday morning March 28, our Los Alamos Historical Museum (LAHM) team checked out of our hotel and headed to the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo.

We met with Dale G. Kreisher, cultural affairs officer, and Akihito Nakanishi, cultural affairs specialist. We talked about our museum-to-museum relationship-building goals for the Japan Initiative and shared ideas for potential future collaborations between LAHM and museums in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Nakanishi said of the project, β€œIt’s a challenging one but also a truly epic project for both countries and beyond.”
