LAHS News:

Los Alamos High School (LAHS) Olions students will participate in the 2022 Enchantment Awards this Saturday May 7 at Popejoy Hall in Albuquerque.

Each year, the New Mexico High School Musical Theater Awards recognizes individual and communal artistry in performance, and honors teachers and their schools’ commitment to performing arts education.

The top students are selected from high schools across the state by adjudicators attending the high school musical performances.

LAHS students were chosen during their spring performances of Les Miserables. Best Actor and Best Actress winners will be chosen at the awards show to attend the national musical theater competition, the Jimmy Awards, in June in New York City.

The Enchantment Awards program features musical theater performances by the nominated students and is open to the public.

Congratulations to all of the LAHS Nominees who are working hard this week with 30+ nominated kids from around the state to put on Saturday’s show:

  • Best Actor: Samuel Wolfsberg, Elijah Hanks, and Peter Finch
  • Best Actress: Katie Wingo and Elise Ovaska
  • Best Supporting Actor: Henry Tholen
  • Best Supporting Actress: Riley Rheinheimer and Alma Phillips
  • Director’s Choice Chorus: Lizzie Massa
  • Technical Interns: Balto Carr, Max Cox, Brooklyn Baca

Tickets to the Enchantment Awards show are available here.
