Los Alamos High School Key Club Bake Sale Oct. 20

Los Alamos High School Key Club will be running a bake sale in the lobby of LANB 10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20. The money they raise will go to the African Library Project. Recently, as part of the African Library Project, high schoolers have made efforts to collect 1,000 books to create a library for a girls school in Kenya. Every school in the district also plans to reach this goal, in an effort organized and spearheaded by former teacher Sharon Allen. The money that the Key Clubbers raise at the bake sale will go to the shipping costs for the books. The high school has reached its 1,000 book goal, and now needs the money to send the books over to Kenya! Courtesy photo
