Los Alamos High School Football C-Team Wins Again

Coach Marco V. Lucero reports that Monday Sept. 17, the Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers Football C-team traveled to Moriarty to take on the Pintos. Despite the the fact that the Toppers lost their first string quarterback in the beginning of the third quarter, the Toppers went on to win 40-20. Cory Schramm went out with a head injury. Topper running back Marcos Vigil led all scorers with four touchdowns. Lane Saunders had two touchdowns to his credit. The defense also showed up and had tree turnovers. Defensive corner Alex Delamarter had two interceptions in the game. This brings the C-team record to 3-1 in the season. The team started the season with a 44-14 victory over St. Pius, a 40-13 victory over Academy and an overtime loss to St. Micheal’s 20-14. C-Team will face visiting Hope Christian on Monday, Oct. 1.
