Los Alamos High Flyers gymnasts walked away with nine all-around first place medals and more than 60 event first and second places so far this season with an exciting meet coming up next weekend at Buffalo Thunder Resort and the state championships still to come.

Before Christmas, the team competed in meets in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Las Cruces. At the team’s first meet of the year in Santa Fe, High Flyers athletes won gold in all three levels entered. Sarah Worley placed first all-around in Level 4; Ashley Hammond in Level 3; and Anabel Irving won at Level 2. Kailey Posegate racked up another first place all-around finish in Level 2 two weeks later at the NAWGJ meet in Albuquerque.

Other High Flyers gymnasts winning first place event medals in the fall meets included Jo‑Jo Gulley (Level 2 bars), Mairen Hoch (Level 2 vault), Sofia Enriquez (Level 3 bars), Sienna Rolfe (Level 3 bars), Emily Smith (Level 3 beam and floor), and Emme Mooday (Level 4 vault).
