LAGC News:
The Los Alamos Golf Course parking lot has re-opened. To get to the golf shop once you’ve parked your car, walk toward the 9th green (located on the east end of the parking lot) then follow the signs around the building to the entrance.
The driving range will close down for a few days beginning as contractors begin work on the new drainage line. The weather may delay this process so there may be days the range will be open.
Contact the golf shop for updated information before going out to practice at 505.662.8139.
It’s that time of year when players who have credit, (winnings), in the pro shop from all of this season’s events should come by and cash out. The deadline is Friday, Dec. 20. Also, all soft good items are 50 percent off as management tries to clear out all of the merchandise by year’s end.
The new hours for the Pro Shop are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. /seven days a week. The first tee time is 9 a.m. every day, weather and frost permitting. The driving range opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 3:30 p.m.
LAGC had a strong tournament season in 2013 hosting 43 tournament days, which amounted to just under 2,000 rounds played. LAGC also hosted 14 fundraiser tournaments, which amounted to $85,000 raised for programs in Los Alamos and Northern New Mexico.
