Los Alamos Garden Club Awards Scholarship To LAHS Senior Nicole Aldaz

COMMUNITY News:

The Los Alamos Garden Club has awarded its 2018 scholarship to Nicole R. Aldaz, a senior at Los Alamos High School.

Aldaz has not only earned excellent grades in her high school courses, but participated in many community service projects, such as the Torch Run for Special Olympics, making backpacks for needy students in northern New Mexico, collecting coats for elementary schools in New Mexico, preparing meal bags for the homeless and other projects.

Aldaz has also been a member of the high school track, basketball and cross country teams.

As her plans for further education involve attending the NMSU-Osteopathic Medicine Pathway Program, she has been shadowing a local nurse practitioner for almost a year.

The Los Alamos Garden Club believes this busy, talented, focused student will go far in her future.
