The Los Alamos Fire Department hosted a special badge ceremony Friday afternoon for 11 newly promoted firefighters.
LADF Chief Troy Hughes and Deputy Chief Justin Grider led the event, which was attended by family, friends and collegues of the firefighters in Council Chambers at 1000 Central Ave.
Newly promoted firefighters include:
- Joseph Candelaria, Battalion Chief
- Ramon Garcia, Battalion Chief
- Jeffrey Wetteland, Battalion Chief
- Ray Gandara, Fire Captain
- Jeff Saiz, Fire Captain
- Joseph W. Sanchez, Fire Captain

- Michael Cayton, Driver Engineer
- Daniel Garcia, Driver Engineer
- Adam Martinez, Driver Engineer
