Los Alamos Elks Lodge News:

The Los Alamos Elks Lodge #2083 held its installation of officers for 2026 -2027 on Saturday, followed by a dinner.

Newlt elected officers include Isaiah Madrid, Inner Guard; Jeffrey Goettee, Esteemed Lecturing Knight; Mellisa Machesky, Chaplain; Phillip Mach, Exalted Ruler; Katherine Haight, Esteemed Leading Knight; Kirk Hollis, Treasurer; Rena Calloway, Secretary; and Jurgen Schmidt, Esteemed Loyal Knight.

In addition, Matthew Haight was named the Citizen of the Year. Jeffrey Goettee was awarded Elk of the Year, and Anthony Vigil was honored as Officer of the Year.

The Los Alamos Elks Lodge #2083 sponsors several activities throughout the year to benefit the community’s youth and various charitable organizations. The annual Elks Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Ashley Pond Park. Los Alamos Elks members have filled more than 20,000 eggs for this event. The annual Elks Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, June 12. Last year’s tournament raised more than $11,000 in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and other local charities.
