Los Alamos Elects New Sheriff: Joe Granville

Democrat Joseph Granville filing in March for the position of Los Alamos County Sheriff has won the office by a large margin in the 2018 General Election. Granville spoke with the Los Alamos Daily Post this morning and said in part, ‘It is really significant the number of people that turned out to vote in this midterm election … of course I am very pleased with the outcome of my race … and I believe overall the campaigns during this election season were well run.’ Granville received 4,405 votes followed by Republican James Whitehead with 2,413 votes, Libertarian Chris Luchini with 1,472 and Independent Greg White with 1,242 votes.
