SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos Derby Dames took to the track Saturday for the first time this season in a regional mash up scrimmage including skaters from Albuquerque and Farmington.

In true New Mexico fashion, Red took on Green to battle it out in a hard hitting, fast paced game at the Los Alamos County Ice Rink. It was the first game for many Los Alamos skaters, proving that roller derby is alive and well in Los Alamos this summer.

The Red team fought hard and played well, but in the end, Green took the win over Los Alamos, 212-74.

The Derby Dames would like to invite anyone interested in joining their team this summer as a skater, skating official or off skates official to join them at any of their practices at the Los Alamos County Ice Rink Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. For additional information, contact the team at laderbydames@gmail.com.
