The second session of ice skating lessons begins this month at the Ice Rink. Saturday classes begin Jan. 7 and the Tuesday and Wednesday classes begin the week of Jan. 8. Space is limited so register now.
Beginning youth ice skating lessons (Snowflakes) will introduce skaters to the basic skills of properly lacing skates, skating forwards and backwards, how to properly fall and stop.
Advanced youth ice skating lessons (Polar Bears) will work on improving your skating skills and introduce new moves. Adult ice skating lessons are adapted to the skill levels of the group and will help you feel comfortable out on the ice.
Registration can be done online by visiting the Parks, Recreation and Open Space website at www.losalamosnm.us/rec, at the Aquatic Center front desk or at the Ice Rink.
