COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Ice Rink will open Saturday, Dec. 26 as a “Close Contact Business” under the current Public Health Order(PHO).

Los  Alamos County Community Services Department (CSD) would like to thank County Council Chair Sara Scott in her efforts of contacting the Governor’s Office, supporting us to get the ice rink open. CSD also would like to thank other members of the public who also contacted the Governor’s office to support the opening of this important outdoor asset.

Community Skater Development sessions are available by reservation, with no more than 10 people per session. The Ice Rink’s holiday schedule will run Dec. 26-Jan. 3 with sessions available during the week.

Starting Jan. 4, sessions will only be available Saturday’s and Sunday’s to the end of the season. Skater Development sessions include a brief skating lesson at the start of each session.

Reservations can be made one day in advance and will be limited to four individuals or one household if calling for a family larger than four. The Ice Rink is closed Dec. 25, therefore reservations for Dec. 26 can be made Dec.24.
