Los Alamos County Community Service Department Seeks Feedback For Several Identified Amenities

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Community Service Department (CSD) is seeking feedback for several identified amenities within Los Alamos, Canyon Road Tennis Courts, Canyon Road handball wall, Nina Marsh Tennis Courts, Orange Street playlot and Loma Linda Playground.

CSD is looking at the use of these facilities to determine if they are the best use for the community.

In an effort to gather input, posters have been set-up at these locations providing a brief description and QR code to take the survey.

These discussions are based on the analysis of the Integrated Master Plan, which was approved
by Council earlier this year. According to the National Park and Recreation Association
Performance Review, which was benchmarked during the development of the Integrated Master
Plan, for similar community populations Los Alamos County has an excess of 11 courts and 14
playgrounds.

Links to the surveys can be found on the Los Alamos County Projects page at
https://www.losalamosnm.us/government/county_projects/community_services_projects.

The results of the survey and community comments will be shared with the Parks and Recreation
Advisory Board in November for further discussion and direction.

For additional information, call 505.663.1785 or email Community Services at csd@lacnm.us.
