Congratulations goes out to Apprentice Appraiser Curtis Valencia of the Los Alamos County Assessor’s Office.

Valencia received his New Mexico Certified Appraiser Certification from the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department, Property Tax Division. To receive the New Mexico Certified Appraiser Certification, an individual must have successfully passed and received credit for the required educational courses by the International Association of Assessing Officers and approved by the Property Tax Division.

The purpose of the certification is to recognize professionalism and competency in the valuation of property for property taxation purposes. Valencia now joins the entire professional staff of the Los Alamos County Assessor’s Office whom have all been recipients of the NMCA (New Mexico Certified Appraiser) designation.
