Los Alamos County Animal Shelter New Hours Aug. 14

In an effort to better serve the public, the Los Alamos County Animal Shelter is altering its business hours.

Effective Monday, Aug. 14, the Shelter will increase hours open to the public on weekends, while closing a half hour earlier through the week and all day Thursday.

The weekend is the busiest time for the Shelter and by increasing weekend hours, the Shelter Staff anticipate better customer service opportunities and increased availability to the public.

The Shelter will close to the public Thursdays as an opportunity for facility maintenance, deep cleaning, animal care, meetings, trainings and administrative work.
