The Los Alamos Co+op Market set a new bar last weekend for daily sales and discounts available to shoppers.
The Co+op attributes its success to its innovation, team work and community support, which started several years ago before the Co+op became a reality.
Over the weekend, the Co+op was filled with the aroma of freshly roasted green chile and happy shoppers. Co+op board members bagged groceries and talked to customers; a photographer captured what people love about the Co+op. Sue Hansen made kettle corn with Co+op ingredients. Kids frolicked in the bouncy house (thanks to Little Forest Playschool) and explored the store in pursuit of the scavenger hunt items. Adults relaxed with free chair massages and live local music.
The Los Alamos Co+op Market is at 95 Entrada Dr. and inside Fusion Multisport on Central Avenue across from CB FOX. Check out www.losalamos.coop or call the Co+op 505.695.1579, for more information. The Los Alamos Co+op Market, Heart of the Community at the Edge of Town and Downtown is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
