Los Alamos Competes Well At Area Drill Meet

Los Alamos High School Drill, Academic, and Physical Fitness teams competed Saturday, Dec. 5, in the Area 9 Drill Meet at West Mesa High School in Albuquerque.

Overall, all teams did an outstanding job. Hard work and practice really paid off in the end. Armed Basic Drill commanded by Michael Purdy tied for 1st place.

For the Physical Fitness Team, Renee MacInnes took 2nd place for female curl ups. For Academics, James O’Brian was 2nd and Victor Kim took 5th place.

The Los Alamos High School Drill, Academic, and Physical Fitness teams are practicing for their next competition, which is Jan. 29-30 at Santa Fe High School.

Congratulations to all members of the teams for their outstanding performance.
