Los Alamos Community Foundation To Host Volunteer Appreciation Event Thursday At Nature Center

The Los Alamos Community Foundation (LACF), in partnership with local nonprofits, will host its first annual volunteer appreciation event 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, in-person at the Los Alamos Nature Center.

This event is part of National Volunteer Week, April 17-23.

Nonprofits who serve Los Alamos County are invited to reserve a booth (free of charge) at this event, and to invite their volunteers and board members to attend and be celebrated. If you are a nonprofit organization interested in reserving a booth, contact Executive Director Rachel Kizielewicz (rachel@losalamoscf.org or 505.661.4420).

  • Family Strengths Network
  • The Family YMCA
  • First Born Program of Los Alamos
  • Juvenile Justice Advisory Board
  • Kiwanis
  • Los Alamos Arts Council
  • Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation
  • Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization
  • Pajarito Environmental Education Center
  • Self Help Inc. 

This event is open to the public. Anyone interested in celebrating volunteerism is welcome to attend. Advance registration is required and can be done here: losalamoscf.org/ticket.

Light refreshments will be served. LACF will provide a small token of gratitude to each volunteer and board member in attendance.
