Los Alamos Atomic Tumblers traveled to Belen last weekend to compete in an Xcel meet. Anna Clark won the Platinum competition with a 36.00 all-around. Clark also took gold on bars with 9.10 and beam with 8.80.
Ramya Stevens took the bronze in the all-around with 35.60. Stevens tied Clark for the gold on bars also scoring a 9.10. Stevens also took the bronze on floor (9.30), vault (9.00) and beam (8.20). Suyana Ferreira took gold on vault with 9.20. Ferreira also took bronze on bars (8.90). Carley Stilwell took silver on floor (9.40) and on vault (9.20).
In the gold competition, Brianna Fryer took bronze with 34.60. She also silver on beam (8.80) and vault (8.50), and bronze on floor (8.70) and bars (8.60). Allison Warner was fourth all around.
In the silver competition, Sara Gardner took bronze with 34.95. Gardner also placed third for the bronze in both bars and vault, with 9.25 and 8.40 respectively. Kaeley Bustos took the bronze on beam (8.90) and floor (8.80).
In the bronze level competition, Evelyn Williams took home the gold for the older division with 36.15, a personal best. Williams also took gold on bars (9.35), beam (9.10) and vault (8.90). Her floor routine was an 8.80 for the bronze medal. Sarah Hutchens took the silver all-around with 35.45. Hutchens also took silver on bars (9.20) and floor (8.85), bronze on beam (8.80) and tied with team mate Cyra Bishop for bronze on vault (8.60). Bishop took the bronze in the all-around with 35.30. She was golden on beam with 9.10, and took bronze on bars with 9.00. Hannah Clegg took gold on floor with 9.30 and silver on vault with 8.70.
Megan Brown took the gold for the younger bronze division with 36.00. Brown also took gold on floor (9.10) and beam (8.80). She tied for gold on vault with team mate Alexandra (Sasha) Simikov (8.70). Danielle Trellue was silver in the all-around with 35.10. Trellue also took gold on bars (9.60), silver on floor (9.00) and tied for silver on beam (8.50) with Simikov. Simikov was the bronze medalist with 34.60, besides the two ties mentioned earlier, she also took bronze on the floor with 8.60. Claudia Jablonski took bronze on bars 8.90.
Atomic Tumblers are competing this weekend at Precision Gymnastics in Albuquerque. The boys team also opens their season this weekend at Eagle Ridge in Rio Rancho.
