LAA News:
The Los Alamos Aquatomics Swim Team is heading to the New Mexico Short Course State Championships with a strong state team.
The Aquatomics has 25 swimmers qualified to swim individual events this year, which is very exciting.
The swimmers range the breadth of the LAA swim program, from 8 years old to 16 years old. The championship is March 7–10, at the West Mesa Aquatic Center in Albuquerque.
Recently, four young Aquatomics swimmers: Caleb Cook, Andy Corliss, Jane Lee Douglass and Connor Tepley competed in the New Mexico State 8 & Under Championship Meet held Feb. 24 in Farmington.
Finish times and placements:
- Caleb Cook (8yo): 50 Free 54.30 (21); 50 Back 1:08.16 (21); and 100 Free 2:08.37 (21);
- Andy Corliss (8yo): 100 IM 1:31.47 (5); 50 Breast 45.53 (2); 100 Free 1:20.59 (4);

LAA recently achieved Level I status in USA Swimming’s Club Recognition Program, a program which promotes developing strong, stable, financially sound and athletically productive swim clubs.
The Los Alamos Aquatomics is a non-profit organization proudly serving and representing the Los Alamos Community.
