Los Alamos American Legion Riders Promote Worthy Cause

The Los Alamos American Legion Riders are hosting a fundraiser for cancer victim Deirdre DeMello, a longtime Los Alamos resident.

The Riders are raising money to have her returned to Los Alamos to be buried near her brother, Pat Turner.  

The event is today, Saturday July 28 and began at 7 a.m., at the American Legion Post, 1325 Trinity Dr. with breakfast followed by a poker run at 8 a.m. to Cimarron for lunch then to the Santa Fe Harley Davidson and then back to the American Legion Post in Los Alamos for a steak dinner at 6 p.m.

The public is encouraged to attend the dinner, which costs $12.
