Local Senior Centers To Serve As COVID-19 Vaccine Hubs

LARSO News:

The Los Alamos and White Rock senior centers found out recently that much like the flu vaccine distribution, will be a hub for the COVID-19 vaccine for seniors.

“I am so elated,” said Executive Director Bernadette Lauritzen of the Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization, (LARSO), which operates the senior centers. “I am hopeful that those 60 and over that aren’t members would consider joining the centers, which is free, that way they would immediately be notified when dates are scheduled to register to receive the vaccine. It really demonstrates our worth to the state and county as senior centers.”

There is absolutely no additional information available at this time. The centers have been informed that it will be part of the Phase 2 distribution. Members will be notified first of a date and will be kept abreast of current information as it is received by the state.
