Living United means choosing to improve your community by giving of yourself, and joining others to make an impact.

Together, united, we have the influence and relationships to make sustainable change a reality. Together, united, we harness the resources from corporate, nonprofit and public partners. Together, united, we provide immediate assistance to our most vulnerable populations while addressing the root causes of our regional challenges.

Together, united, we change lives for the better, create and make Northern New Mexico a healthier place. To encourage others to join us and LIVE UNITED, the United Way of Northern New Mexico and the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce have united to spread the word. This is how it works:

Place a black and white LIVE UNITED window decal on the back of your vehicle for a chance to win. The free decals are available at Los Alamos National Bank and the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce. Once a week (every Thursday for 10 weeks) The Los Alamos Daily Post will publish a photo of a random vehicle with the window decal with their license plate included in the photo.

The registered owner of the vehicle will have one week to claim their prize: $100 in Los Alamos Chamber Checks that can be used like cash in any of the active Chamber member businesses. We will give away a total of $1,000 in Chamber Checks.

Prizes will be distributed from the United Way office in the LANB building on Trinity Drive. The Program begins Sept. 23 and ends Nov. 23 www.unitedwaynnm.org
