An heiress of cooking via her grandmother’s traditional kitchen and a student of restaurant techniques, Martinez shares her taste through her popular column, Liddies Traditional New Mexico Dishes, published in the Los Alamos Daily Post. She keeps the line of history going with travels extensively in Spain and Mexico, preserving El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro National Historic Trail; while her farm on the Chile Line easement of the Denver and Rio Grande Western Narrow Gauge Train, Santa Fe branch, stewards northern New Mexico history through this food.
