By KELLY BONERI would like to take a minute of your time to let you know why I am supporting Sharon Stover for NM House Rep., District 43. My letter is not about specific issues nor is it against our current rep., (I’ve heard she’s a fine person) it is only about the person I know and why I am voting for Sharon.
To me, Sharon is the perfect example of the kind of person I want my state rep to be. She is smart, an extremely hard worker, and she is kind, caring and compassionate. For years, she has worked diligently to make our community a better place to live, work and enjoy. She is and has always been a dedicated public servant. She does this, not for herself but for all of us.
She truly cares about us.
She is not polarizing, bound to a political philosophy, but instead makes decisions thoughtfully, rationally and always for what’s in the community’s best interest.
I’ve known Sharon for years, and no matter how busy, how tired, or how frustrating her day has been, she has a smile on her face and always takes time to say hello and inquire how my family is. She is grace under pressure.
She enjoys others’ success and cares for us when things go wrong. She is constantly encouraging others to do their best and has been a wonderful example of how to be involved in the community.
I know she will represent our district well. She will not put party above people. She will always do what she feels is best – for all of us.
Regardless who you vote for, just make sure you vote.
