Letter To The Editor: Why Christine Chandler Is Excellent Choice To Represent Us In House Dist. 43

By T. DOUGLAS REILLY
Los Alamos

Christine Chandler is an excellent candidate to represent District 43, including Los Alamos, in our state House of Representatives.

I first met Christine in the early 1990’s when I was at DOE in Washington. She came from LANL for three months to help our safeguards section. I learned Christine had an especially good education* and that she was sharp, pleasant and a very hard worker.

I have followed her career in the lab’s legal department and her many efforts to support the community of Los Alamos. At present, Christine is vice chair of the County Council. She served earlier on the County Council (1997-2000), and was chair and vice chair during this period.

Her work as a legislative analyst during the last three sesssions of the New Mexico Legislature has given her a familiarity with the functioning of the body and acquaintance with many of the legislators and staff. During the period 2013-2016, Christine served as probate judge in Los Alamos.

As illustrated above, Christine has continuously demonstrated a concern and interest in the Los Alamos community since she moved here in 1993.

Please vote in the June 5th Democratic Primary for Christine Chandler to be the Democratic Party candidate for the District 43 representive to the New Mexico legislature.
