Letter To The Editor: Vote For Sharon Stover

Los Alamos

I have known Sharon Stover for over 25 years, most closely in YMCA work when I was the director. She worked tirelessly to help us get corporate sponsors for the Y’s annual fundraising event and continues that volunteer effort to this day! She was instrumental in getting her political allies in Espanola to assist in the formation of the Y’s Teen Center in the Valley, which is having such a positive and inspiring impact on the youth it serves. Ditto with the Teen Center in Los Alamos.

I have followed Sharon’s good works over the many years that we have shared a friendship. She was an authentic and successful County Councilor. Her effort in bringing together the Regional Coalition of LANL Communities, and her leadership of the New Mexico Association of Counties demonstrate her willingness to listen and work with all sides of issues and problems, and then she works on continuous improvement, for the good of everyone! Her role as County Clerk gave her an inside look at how government works from the staff side of things.

Sharon is a graduate of Leadership Los Alamos (which she helped launch) and Leadership New Mexico, and she is the proven leader–always putting others first, listening, analyzing, networking, promoting, encouraging, and DOING. She kept communication open and flowing during both of the Los Alamos fires. She is smart, determined and brave, wants to move New Mexico forward, particularly in education, and she is definitely the best qualified leader to be our State Representative for District 43.

Please join me in voting for Sharon, my golfing buddy, and in supporting her campaign financially.
