I would like to take a minute to thank those who live, work and play in the community of Los Alamos, for your generosity.
Our week of activities, to raise money for Los Alamos High School teacher Joy Handsberry, as she battles ovarian cancer, was truly inspirational. Our students, staff, parents and friends came together to lift the spirits and ease the financial burden, for one who gives so much to her students.
A special thanks to Parties to Go and owner Mrs. Purvis for providing the dunk tank at no cost and giving us an incredible discount on the bouncy house.
We have established an account at Los Alamos National Bank called Jump for Joy Handsberry, for those who couldn’t attend our events but want to make a donation to assist our goals.
Joy is doing great and will soon be through with her chemotherapy.
