Dearest SAN Volunteers and Planners:

On behalf of The Family YMCA, Los Alamos County Parks and Recreation Department, the Youth Activity Center, the LAPD, the Kiwanis organization, and all the 40+ organizations and businesses that sponsored Senior Appreciation Night, thank you a million for your help! By all accounts, things went smoothly and the teens had fun. We hope you had fun, too.

Los Alamos High School has 259 seniors and another five graduated through the Home School group. Of course students attend when and what they can throughout the night, but we counted 300 students at the Youth Activity Center (at the beginning of the night) and 210 at the movies at the end of the night. We tracked 120 students who attended all the events and who were eligible for the grand prizes at the breakfast, (this is typical, the last few years have been 112, 114, 118).
