Letter To The Editor: Thank You For Passing HB33

By BILL WADT, Board Member
Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation

Last January, voters in Los Alamos resoundingly approved the continuance of HB33 Mill Levy to provide Los Alamos Public Schools over $13 million across six years for student technology and network infrastructure as well as funds for musical instruments, athletic supplies and equipment, heating and cooling projects and restroom upgrades for older buildings across the District, and general maintenance projects from roof repairs and handicapped ramps to improved PA systems and new fire panels.

With your yes votes, you demonstrated to the Federal Government, which annually provides $8 million to our schools, that you share the commitment to excellent schools.

Last year I asked you to put your proverbial mouths where your money is and you did! THANK YOU.
