Letter to the Editor: Please Return Red Jackson’s Sign

An act very upsetting to the North Mesa Stable area has occurred.

Red Jackson’s barn has been an icon at the stables since the late 50’s. Sometime in the last week the sign he hung at the barn was stolen. His barn has been called Red’s Bunkhouse since he owned the barn and was quite a character at the los Alamos stables. The dressage area is named after him.

I currently own the barn and have for the past three years. I filed a police report Thursday and am very upset such an iconic piece of the stable’s history is gone.

I am asking for help from the public and for the sign to be returned so it can once again hang in its rightful place at his barn.
