Letter To The Editor: Parents Express Support For UNM-LA Mill Levy

As local parents of two Los Alamos High School students, we are writing in support of the upcoming mail-in vote on the UNM-LA mill levy.

UNM-LA benefits everyone in the community, and we are especially thankful that all of our high school kids can take advantage of joint classes at classes at UNM-LA while they are still in high school. Last summer, our son took an EMT training class at UNM-LA, and it was a valuable and transformational experience for him that he couldn’t have gotten at the high school.

We would like UNM-LA to remain a vibrant part of our community for everyone.

We urge everyone in the community to mail in their January 2017 ballots and support UNM-LA (and LAPS)!
