Letter To The Editor: Let’s Support Time Out Pizzeria

I just learned that a Domino’s Pizza outlet will soon open near Smith’s Marketplace.
 
I sincerely hope that the people of Los Alamos will choose not to patronize this franchise. This operation will undercut the excellent Time Out Pizzeria already in business in Los Alamos and White Rock. This enterprise is locally owned and operated, offers a good menu, and provides a gathering place for young and old.
 
Let’s keep the good that we already have, rather than supporting an outside, ‘johnny-come-lately’ that will, through franchise fees, take money out of the County. As experiences have shown, there are only a limited number of food services that can successfully operate in Los Alamos.
 
New openings almost inevitably fail, or they force another out of business. Let’s support our home-grown Time Out Pizzeria!
