Please join with us at Smith`s Marketplace to help support the University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital. The UNM Children’s Hospital is incredibly important to the health of all the children of New Mexico. Every year, UNMCH treats 60,000 patients and provides help to children from everywhere in New Mexico.

UNMCH was established in 1994 and works closely with UNM medical school. Their philosophy of healthcare combines four missions:

  • Education;
  • Research;
  • Patient Care; and
  • Community Outreach.

They treat all Illnesses and conditions including caring for our most fragile newborns in a neo natal unit. The hospital also provides behavioral help to children of ages 2-18, who may suffer from trauma, addiction, or substance abuse. They also strive to help families affected by illness to help them cope and contribute to the healing process.

All of us, either as parents or through our friends and neighbors have been touched by a child who is ill and needs special care. Together, we can help UNMCH lead the fight for healthy children.

We ask that you join us in contributing generously to this lifesaving and life-changing effort. All donations are sent directly to the hospital; Smith’s simply ensures that the donations reach UNMCH.

Last year, employees of Smith`s stores throughout New Mexico together with the corporate office donated $350,000 to this cause. We need your help to reach our goal of raising $20,000 at our Los Alamos store. Please look for our different fundraisers throughout the next month and, please, give generously.
