Not many people pay attention to the midterm elections, yet we have some very important decisions to make as we cast our ballots.

One of them is deciding on a new judge to send to the New Mexico Court of Appeals. I will support Kerry Kiernan because of his 30 years of legal experience serving New Mexicans. He began his career as a New Mexico public defender and later worked for a highly respect law firm in Albuquerque. His experience is not only broad but it is deep. His professional temperament and work ethic, and his ability to listen to all sides of an issue, make him an excellent choice for the appellate court.

He has the integrity and life-time experience we can depend on from a judge. I believe he will serve everyone fairly and equally under the the law.

Kerry Kiernan is pursuing public financing under the New Mexico Voter Action Act to ensure fair and ethical elections by taking big money out of judicial campaigns.

I support taking big money out of all elections.
