Letter to the Editor: Grateful To Community In This Season Of Thanks

By PEGGY SANCHEZ MILLS, CEO
Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails

Thank you all for your support. In this season of thanks, I want to acknowledge and thank our communities throughout New Mexico for the support provided so generously to our Girl Scouts. Girl Scouting in this community is successful due to the enthusiasm of our girls, dedication of parents, and the commitment of volunteers and support of communities throughout northern New Mexico.

Without you, our Girls Scouts would not have the opportunity to participate in this premier leadership organization for girls.

Girl Scouts are succeeding. For more than 102 years, Girl Scouts have been developing strong skills, and looking to the future to become the women they want to be. They know the value of service; they are giving back and giving forward to their community. They are becoming our next generation of leaders in the legislature, in engineering, in boardrooms, in schools, in our families. They have and will continue to change the world.

Together we can get her there. To support the nearly 4,000 Girl Scouts from around the Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails. We thank our more than 2,000 volunteers and 30 staff dedicated to this mission. We thank our sponsors, donors, and financial supporters. We are grateful to all of you for your support.

Girl Scouts makes a big difference throughout New Mexico by providing girls a bright future – a future that includes education, financial skills building, leadership development – all attributes that will prepare her become an independent young woman in her future.

Happy Holidays and thank you to our community of supporters.
