Leonard is Top Predictor in Weekly Pace Race

ATOMIC ROAD RUNNERS News:

Erik Leonard was the fastest for the 1-mile predict-your-time pace race in 8:14 and was only one second off his prediction.

A total of 41 people did the weekly Tuesday pace races, which were held on paved roads in Pajarito Acres under cloudy skies.

For the one mile course, the fastest female runner was Michelle Jones (9:39). The best female predictors were Inez Ross (10 s off her prediction), Darby Kellum and D J Kliesen (both 13 s). Zach Leonard did the 1 mile run in 8:16, and Morgan Jones did 10:47.

For the 2.8 mile course, the fastest runners were Ted Romero (19:59) and Madison Foley (22:23). The next faster runners were Dan and John Rees (22:06 & 22:22) and Roxana Condia (22:38). The best predictors were Daren Jones (6 s), Ted Romero (7 s), and Katie Gattiker (12 s).

Next Tuesday’s Pace Race will be “the run with a view” and will start on West Jemez Road (State Road 501) near S-Site and the water tanks, about 0.7 miles from the back gate.
