Learn About Parkinson’s Disease April 2

Lori Erickson, physical therapist at Los Alamos Medical Center, and Dr. Miles Nelson, president of A Nurse in the Family, will lead a discussion about Parkinson’s Disease 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2 in the lower level of the Betty Ehart Senior Center.

People facing this disease as well as caregivers and family members are invited. Erickson will demonstrate exercises that help maintain function. Dr. Nelson will discuss particulars of the disease as well as how to help caregivers. A question and answer period will follow.

Refreshments will be provided by A Nurse in the Family. Participants will receive written information to take away.
