Learn About Hearing Loops Saturday

HLAA News:

The Santa Fe Chapter, Hearing Loss Association of America will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10 at Vitamin Cottage Event Center, Natural Grocers, Cerrillos Road and Richards Avenue in Santa Fe.

The program is “Hearing Aid Wearers – Are You in the Loop?” It is free and open to the public. No reservations are required. The meeting will have sign language interpreters, and a hearing loop that allows attendees to use the telecoil switch on hearing aids and hear without interference.

Radio engineer and looping advocate Mike Langner will discuss how hearing loops work, what hearing aid telecoils are, how to inexpensively install a home loop for your TV, and what people should know about looping churches and other public facilities. There will be time for questions and group discussion.
