The Leadership Los Alamos Class of 2014 is the 10th graduating class of the Leadership Los Alamos Program. As part of the re-vamped graduation requirements, LLA 2014 is the inaugural class required to complete a class project. Thus was born the “Let’s Play, LA!” campaign. The mission of the “Let’s Play, LA!” campaign is to purchase and install an interactive musical park in Los Alamos County. The equipment to be installed in the park is engaging, sophisticated, therapeutic and fun.
“We want to give this to the county to install for the community so everyone can share in the musical experience for free,” said Jeremy Varela, 2014 Leadership Los Alamos Class participant.
All proceeds from the “Celebration of Music” fundraiser will support the purchase and installation of the interactive musical park in Los Alamos County near the new library on Sherwood Boulevard in White Rock.
“Our goal is to raise $20,000 to purchase a five-piece equipment ensemble for the musical park,” said Andy Wahl, 2014 Leadership Los Alamos Class participant.
