  • Session included assisting the Senior Center, the Library and Historical Society

The Leadership Los Alamos Class of 2015 completed its Community Programs Session Oct. 17 at the Betty Ehart Senior Center.

The purpose of the session was to familiarize the class with local community and charitable organizations, their contributions within the community and beyond, and to identify opportunities for individual participation and support.

The leadership class learned about the legal and IRS aspects of non-profits and were exposed to many of the more than 200 non-profits in Los Alamos County through a “non-profit” fair. During the session, the class also got an opportunity to participate in an activity benefitting others including assisting the Senior Center, the Library and the Historical Society.
