Launch Los Alamos is a program teaching entrepreneurship and business building for teens sponsored by the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation. During the past eight weeks, students have been given resources that helped them turn their entrepreneurial ideas into business plans. With help from leaders in the Los Alamos business community, participating teens now will have the chance to secure funding for their businesses.
Teen business owners will participate in the Launch Los Alamos Pitch Day 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., today, Nov. 5, at projectY Cowork Los Alamos, 150 Central Park Square. Students will compete for startup funding of up to $750 as they showcase their new products/services and pitch their ideas in front of the Los Alamos community and a panel of judges.
The LAUNCH Los Alamos program of Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation would like to extend a warm THANK YOU to all the companies, organizations, and individuals for their support of the 2016 season. Additionally, we would like to thank our volunteers Di Ye of Zhennovate, serial entrepreneur Nik Seet and Patrick Duran of Congressman Lujan’s office who will serve as judges for the upcoming Pitch competition.
We encourage you to come out to support these dynamic budding teen entrepreneurs. Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend as these community teen entrepreneurs pitch their business product or service. Please direct all comments or questions to April Dukes at email@example.com.
