LAUNCH Los Alamos Info Night Tonight: Funding For Young Entrepreneurs To Start A Business

LACDC News:

Anyone between the ages of 13 and 19 who has a great business idea is invited to attend a unique event this evening: Community ‘Info Night’ at projectY, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at 150 Central Park Square.

The Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC) is providing a fantastic opportunity to youth in the communities of Los Alamos, Jemez Springs, Espanola and Pojoaque. The LAUNCH LA Program provides youth the opportunity to experience the rewards of starting and running a business. The program will provide startup funding to enterprising young business people that successfully pitch their business.

Applicants are required to fill out an application online and prepare a mini-business plan. The mission of the program is for young entrepreneurs to gain the knowledge of what it takes to run their own business and to launch them successfully. Mentors, experienced business owners and investors, are available throughout the program if they need any advice.

Applications for the LAUNCH LA program are available online at www.losalamosdevelopment.com/ business/launch. Apply online as a ‘Founder’ of ‘Partner’. The deadline for completing the applications is 11:59 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2016. For additional information or any questions, please contact April Dukes at 505.661.4803.

This program would not be possible without the continued support of local businesses. Thank you to The Richard P. Feynman Center for Innovation.
