Preschool Family Math Night is set for 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 at Barranca Mesa Elementary and Mountain Elementary in Los Alamos, and Chamisa Elementary in White Rock.
The Preschool Family Math Night is open to students and families enrolled in the Preschool programs at these school sites.
This is the second of four Family Engagement Nights, which are part of the Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) PreK program.
Last fall, students and families attended Literacy Night, which introduced students and their families to classes in art, music, physical education and library, and how these classes can be integrated into literacy. The focus of this second presentation is math, with a farm friendly theme.
Registration for the Preschool program for the 2022-2023 school year will open at 8 a.m. Monday, March 7. Students 4 years of age prior to 12:01 a.m. MDT on Sept. 1 of the school year they are enrolling in and reside in Los Alamos County are eligible to enroll in the LAPS Preschool Program.
