LAPS To Host Job Fair Tuesday May 10

Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) is hiring Instructional Assistants at all school sites for the 2022-2023 school year.

This is a great opportunity for parents who want to work during school hours and then be home when the kids are not in school. Instructional Assistants (IAs) have the same holidays as students.

Starting pay is $16.05 per hour. Special Education IAs receive an additional $600 stipend* each semester, and Specialized Support IAs are eligible for an additional $1,000 stipend* per semester. In addition, LAPS employees receive benefit options including medical, dental and vision plans; PTO (paid time off); retirement (NMERB); a $25,000 life insurance policy; enhanced retirement funding; YMCA membership; and long term and short-term disability.

LAPS also provides leadership and growth opportunities, including participation in the Grow Your Own Teacher program.

LAPS is hosting a Hiring Fair 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 in the School Boardroom at 2075 Trinity Dr. Anyone interested may complete an application online or on site. Interviews will be held onsite during the Hiring Fair.
