Meagan Selis

Los Alamos Public Schools is pleased to announce that Meagan Selis has been selected as the new Assistant Principal at Los Alamos Middle School. She joins Principal Alicia Cardiel and Assistant Principal Colby Holland as a member of the LAMS Administration team.

“We are thrilled to have Meagan join our administrative team,” said LAPS Superintendent Jennifer Guy. “She is an outstanding educational leader. The Middle School is going to have a great year!”

Originally from Portland, Ore., Selis earned her Master’s degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from Portland State University. She has been in education for the last 13 years as a Social Studies teacher for grades 6-12, and has taught in schools in Texas, New York, Massachusetts, Oregon and New Mexico.

She has also coached softball, saying, “I am passionate about helping young women become confident and resilient leaders.”

Outside of work, Selis enjoys gardening, home improvement projects, and spending time with her husband and pets

“I am deeply honored to begin this next chapter as Assistant Principal at Los Alamos Middle School, where I have found not just a school, but a family,” Selis said. “The relationships I’ve built with our students, staff, and families have made LAMS feel like home, and I’m honored to continue serving alongside this incredible team.”
