Los Alamos Public Schools has announced that Stan Maschal has accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Los Alamos High School. He joins Principal Eric Ziegler, Assistant Principal Ryan Finn, Assistant Principal Suzanne Montoya and Athletic Director Guy Meyer as a member of the LAHS Administration team.
“We are excited to have Stan join Los Alamos High School,” LAPS Superintendent Jennifer Guy said. “He brings a wealth of experience to the administrative team and love for students.”
Maschal is a passionate and experienced educator with 16 years in public education. After 13 years as a teacher in Keller, Texas, he transitioned into leadership, serving the past three years as principal of Milan Elementary and Los Alamitos Middle School in Grants, N.M. He brings a strong track record of working with a diverse student population, driving academic achievement, and building positive, inclusive school cultures.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and has explored much of the world. He’s a devoted husband to his wife Cheryl, a proud father of two sons, and Jefe (grandfather) to a granddaughter who is the love of his life.
“I am incredibly honored to join Los Alamos High School and the district,” Maschal said. “This community’s strong commitment to academic excellence aligns perfectly with my passion for a supportive and empowering school environment, and I look forward to collaborating with students, staff, and families.”
