LAPS News:
Los Alamos Public Schools is rounding up all incoming kindergarten students to attend the Kindergarten Round Up hosted at each elementary school starting at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 12.
Mountain Elementary will host two sessions based on students’ last names. Session one will be 1:30- 2:15 p.m. for students with last names A – M; students with last names N – Z will meet from 2:30- 3:15 p.m. Both sessions will start in Room 202.
Children who will turn five by Sept. 1, 2023 are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year, and are invited to attend Kindergarten Round-Up with their parents. This is an opportunity for families to get an idea of what to expect for kindergarten.
At the Round Up, prospective students and families will get to meet kindergarten teachers, principals, school nurses, school counselors and other key school personnel and ask questions about kindergarten.
Parents are encouraged to call the school they are zoned for to ask questions regarding Kindergarten Round Up. For more information about registration, go to https://www.laschools.net/registration.
